Friday. Mr. J.L. Bradford came on 7 P.M. train. Decision of the Supreme Court only affected the William Conway grant in Houmas Claim, and therefore only applied to land recovered by Mr. Beirne on the Conway and Orange Grove. This is new to me and shows arbitration not based on necessary facts. Mr. Bradford thinks contract with Drummond and Bradford - coupled with receipt of J.L. Bradford for an installment of fee paid him by Mr. Beirne shows that Mr. Kenner was to pay one third of layers fees - which was Mr. Beirne's understanding in the matter.
