Wednesday. Wrote Mr. Sandy thanking him for cheese, which has not come yet. To Conway and Orange Grove in afternoon. Telephone put up in Store.
Saturday. Looking over, reading and destroying many old letters and filing a few. A kind of sadly pleasing task. My children will one day like to read some of the letters I am preserving for them.
Sunday. Wrote Paul Leche in reply that I could not attend meeting of Absea executive committee tomorrow as I am going to New Orleans this afternoon. Went to New Orleans on 4:00 train.
