Tuesday. Mr. Fisher of the Fulton Iron Works came on the 11:30 train and spent the day and night. Will inspect New Hope mill tomorrow.
Wednesday. Went with Mr. Fisher and Mr. Chiapella to New Hope, crossing in skiff at Darrow and hiring vehicle at Donaldsonville. Mr. Fisher will correct all the defects in mill which we pointed out. Mr. Chiapella and I returned on the Assumption.
Thursday. Wrote Mr. Bonham hoping his son Willy will soon recover from the effects of his accident. (Shot himself accidentally with a pistol.) Wrote Mr. Gelpi with $29.50 for whiskey.
Friday. Wrote LaVerne W. Hoyos - 99 & 101 Monroe St. Chicago, enclosing cheque for $5 for Dictionary Holder No. 1. Wrote Sec. of National Cabinet Letter File Co. for Letter Cabinet of 12 files enclosing cheque for $25.
Saturday. Wrote Mr. Chiapella requesting him to get a section of sleeper for Sally and Sarabel for Wednesday night, when they expect to leave New Orleans for Charleston.
Sunday. Went to see Tucker and Boote by Mr. Beirnes direction to tell them to put sufficient force in yard tomorrow to rake it clean and to use brush brooms.
