Tuesday. To Spanish Fort with Sally, Sarabelle, Mrs. Macmillan and her sister to hear a Mexican string band. Very good. Dine with all parties at Moreau's. Very good dinner, $13.75 (one bottle champagne and 1/2 bottle vin ordinaire).
Wednesday. Went at night to see Cotton Exposition lighted up.
Thursday. To office, met with Mr. Beirne. Returned to the Houmas on the afternoon train.
Saturday. Wrote Hyrich with cheque for $15 for ream of English hand made Irish linen note paper and envelopes.
Sunday. Wrote Mr. Beirne about plantation matters. Sorting and burning old letters at night. How it brings back the past to read them. Especially many written by me to my darling wife.
Monday. Wrote Chicago Cabinet Letter File Co. for priced catalogue.
