Clear, cool, delightful. Went round levees. Still working at Clark. Called Cochran's and Mr. Tucker's attention to weak point in Ben Turner levee adjoining Orange Grove. Went to Kelly's levee. Very weak in two places. Had a break thru this morning, but fixed it. I feel anxious about it and so said to Mr. Brand (a member of the Police Jury).
Wrote Mr. Beirne about river and levee. River within 2-1/2 inches of last year. On Levee in afternoon. Pretty well secured. Kelly's levee gives me the chief concern. The seem indifferent, having but little cane.
