Ash Wednesday. Wrote Richie, Annie and Pringle Smith, telling of safe arrival of his daughter and of the pleasure Sally and I had in escorting her.
Called with Sally on Belle Warley and Sophy and Miss Harry Smith, who is staying with them. Also on the Hugers and the Bennets. Went first with Sally to church (Christ Church - since sold, alas!). Called on Mrs. Chiapella.
