Clear, not so warm. Went to Orange Grove and over much of crop and then to Riverton sugar house. Work progressing rather slowly at the latter. Jordan, who went down to New Orleans sick has not yet returned and some of his best hands are down with fever. Drove in afternoon over a good deal of Clark crop. Very promising. Mr. Tucker thinks prospects extremely good.
