June 10, 1883, Sunday

Cloudy - showers - warm.  Mr. Chiapella and Mr. Farrell went by railroad to lower places.  Messrs. Tucker and Boote called in morning.  Wrote Captain Libano thanking him for engaging room at hotel in Baton Rouge for me.  Wrote Miss Peronneau in reply to postcard telling of safe arrival at Alleghany station.  Felt so badly did not eat anything all day.  Glass of milk at night.
