March 6, 1883, Tuesday

Cloudy and cool -visited Donaldson and Clark and Conway.  Talked with Mr. Boote and Mr. Breaux and Mr. Lawless about sundry plantation matters.  Went to corn boat.  Mr. Tucker has hauled away his quota of 4000 bu. for the Clark and Mr. Breaux will begin hauling his (3000 bu.) for the Conway this afternoon.
Wrote Mr. Loving to send me statement of items of our account and of his corn and tobacco crops.  Went to store.  Walked on levee in afternoon. River rising slowly.
