Cloudy then clear - mild and pleasant.  Went to railroad camp on Riverton. Visited Donaldson and Clark and went to corn boat.  Mr. Tucker getting out his corn.  Wrote Bally's for S. Herrings and requested butter can.
I fear the prospect of a good stand is bad, for the Riverton fall planted cane.
Wrote Mrs. Beirne thanking her for the fish, beef, snipe and lettuce sent on Saturday Nights trip of the Cannon.  Wrote Villere enclosing cheque for $28.50 for 3-3/4 gals whiskey at $6.  Wrote Sally in reply - acknowledging receipt of her photograph.
Nanny and Suzy went at 12:30 o'clock to Miss Tureand's to study French and the piano - for an hour and two every day.
