For the week of July 14, 1885

Tuesday.  Went over St. James crop with Turcuit.  Very fine, best on the 10 places.  Pleased with all I saw, crop will not fall short of 1,000,000 lbs.  Returned home on R.R. to Donaldson ans took carriage at this side of ferry.
Wednesday.  Wrote Frank, I was delighted he had decided to go to "The Sweet" beginning in August.  Wrote Mr. Beirne about crops and matters and things generally at all the places.
Thursday.  Wrote R.H. Thatcher, Secretary and Treasurer of Lee Bass Ball Club presenting my acknowledgements of my election as an honorary member of the same.  Went to New Orleans on 4:40 pm train.
Saturday.  At office.  Fixing up financial statement for Mr. Beirne.  To West End last evening and this.  Poor band - dull and stupid.
Sunday.  Returned home on 4:40 pm train.
