Tuesday. Mardi Gras. Went to the Tilton's in the morning to see Rex Procession.
Wednesday. Did not go to church. Called on Harriett Crafts and the Gordons.
Thursday. Wrote Mr. Brand, I will be up Saturday. Called on the Brents.
Friday. Called on General Beauregard. Called on Mrs. Tilton. Very pleasant visit. Met Othe Williams, just arrived, on his was to Pringle's.
Saturday. To office. Met the Maryland party of gentlemen whom Dr. Tilghman requested Mr. Beirne to show plantations and sugar houses. They will probably go up to Houmas on 4 pm train.
