Both clerks at Houmas store sick.  Gethreaux and Armitage.  To Clark, wind rowing for seed.  Went to lower places by railroad.  Drying old white sugar on hand in centrifuges - some 230 bbls.  Loss about 18 bbls.  No economy in it I am sure.
