Cloudy, sultry.  To the store.  Saw Bateman and Breaux and told them about wages of hands to be reduced at the grinding season.  Mr. Chiapella came in afternoon from New Orleans with coal man. 
Mr. May, cabinet maker from McCracken and Brewster, came on evening train from New Orleans with an assistant to put up book shelves, which came by Corona last night.  They and Mr. Chiapella spent the night.
