Rain in afternoon. Went to Riverton, Donaldson and Clark. Too wet, no work. Wrote General Gonzales and sent him recommendation for the Professorship of Spanish in the University of Louisiana.
Wrote General Brent, I would be happy to see him any day after Wednesday to adjust matter of lawyers fees in Houmas Grant Case.
Wrote Mr. Moise about getting his son out of the army. Advised him to apply to one of the members of Congress from South Carolina to see Secretary of War or Adj. General on subject.
