Heavy rain, and again at night. Went to New Orleans on 12:37 train (Wednesday).
Wrote Mr. Value that I would draw upon him tomorrow for $20,000 and telegraphed him to same effect. Mr. Beirne wrote me on the 12th that he had put $50,000 to my credit with Mr. V. for current and building expenses until we sold sugar. I wrote Mr. Beirne on the 20th saying I would have to draw "very immediately".
