Wrote General Brent that I could not attend proposed meeting of planters tomorrow, or accept his invitation to spend the night with him as I was going to New Orleans today as delegate to the Diocesan Council. Wrote Willy in reply to try and cheer him up. He says he takes no interest in his studies as he used to and no interest in anything - not even the gymnasium or baseball. Went to New Orleans on 12:37 train. After council meeting dined at Victor's on Bourbon St.
