Horrid day, but improved. Left Baltimore for Hanover Academy, Ashland, VA, at 9:10 AM and reached Hanover at 2 PM where Willy met me with carriage. Feeling badly with attack of chill and fever had to go right to bed on reaching Colonel Jones'. Had much pleasant talk, nevertheless with Willy and Col. Jones.
