At White Sulphur, WV
Clear, pleasant. Left for the Sweet. Train behind time. Got to Alleghany at 9:30 A.M. No stage. Had to remain ther all day. Came over abouth 6 P.M. in a carriage that had brought a sick lady from the Sweet. Found children all well. Thunderstorm and rain in the night. The rain much needed as the dust was very bad.
