Gloomy - but cleared up in the afternoon. Left Mr. Sneed's for New Orleans, taking 3:00 PM train to Louisville.
On the way to Louisville fell in with General and Mrs. William Preston, and Miss Jessie and Miss Susy. Much and pleasant talk with them all.
