Wrote Mr. Chiapella in reference to telegram received at railroad station on arrival yesterday.  Sending check for $8000.
Leila Sneed played uncommonly well on the piano.
Went to Oak Ridge with Mr. Sneed and had a long talk about farm matters with Mr. Loving.  Told him he was trying too big a job in attempting to run Oak Ridge.  He seemed to think so himself and had not made any money since he had been farming it.
