Hot, sultry. To Riverton in morning and Clark. Wrote Mrs. Singleton, in reply, a long letter - 12 pages. Wrote Mr. Beirne, in reply, that I would leave for New Orleans on the 12th and after a day or two in city, looking over books and arranging money matters, would go on to the Sweet Springs.
