Excessively hot and sultry. Went all over Armant crop with Beckner. Left in 3:00 P.M. train and got home before 6:00 P.M. Went to Orange Grove and told Mr. Lawless to see Grandbury tomorrow about brick as there seems to have been some misunderstanding about them. Crop at St. James very good. Crop at Armant greatly improved since my last visit, some of it having come out in a surprising manner.
