Cloudy - hard rain not far below us. Went to Riverton, Mr. Hauptman visited sugar houses. Thinks work is progressing satisfactorily. Went through back crops on Clark and Conway in afternoon. A good deal of that in Clark is quite indifferent. All the cane on Conway very fine and uniform.
