Rain - did not stop ploughs long. Running rotary hoes in Orange Grove and Clark. An admirable implement. Has now a new attachment, something like a split stubble digger which pulverises the soil and throws just a little dirt to cane. Went to Riverton and Orange Grove where only a few hands are at work pulling down brick work at sugar houses. Went to Riverton in afternoon. They are not getting on very fast with the demolition of the brick work, preparatory to fitting up sugar house.
