Feeling badly, did not go to church. Miss Peronneau and children went. Sent $5 as "Easter Offering" in church. The collection is for repairs to the rectory.
Cannon has not arrived at 1 p.m. The storm yesterday doubtless delayed her. The high northeast wind yesterday, with rain pretty much all day, was no doubt the "Equinoctial Storm" (if there be, necessarily, any storm at the time of the Equinox - which scientists now doubt). The breakwater from the wooden barricade along the levee and not far from the front of the house, all loosened and partly carried off yesterday.
